The Kursunlu Han is today used as the administrative building and has the work rooms, library, conference hall, laboratory and workshop and the old bazaar building houses the exhibits.
Exhibits at Anatolian Civilisations MuseumThe exhibits include Anatolian archaeology that start with the Palaeolithic era and continues chronologically through to the Neolithic, Early Bronze, Assyrian Trading Colonies, Hittite, Phrygian and Urartu periods. There are extensive collections of relics from excavations at Karain , Catalhoyuk , Hacilar, Canhasan, Beyce Sultan, Alacahoyuk , Kultepe, Acemhoyuk, Bogazkoy Gordion, Pazarli, Altintepe, Adilcevaz and Patnos along with examples from several other eras. The gold, silver, glass, marble and bronze exhibits date back to the second half of the 1st millennium BC and the coin collections have examples ranging from the first minted money to the modern day and are a representation of the museum’s rare cultural treasures.
