Beypazari; located 99km from Ankara, the history here has been traced back to the Hittites and Phrygians and in the past has been under the control of the Galatian’s, Roman’s, Seljuk’s, Ottoman’s, and was even an Episcopal centre. From artefacts and ancient maps found here it is known its original name was Lagania and later changed to Anastasiopolis.
