Guvercinlik Bodrum

Guvercinlik Bodrum
Guvercinlik is one of the Bodrum Peninsula’s lesser known resorts with stunning scenery and wonderful fauna and flora. This small bay is nestled in the Aegean Sea surrounded by pine forest and olive trees.
Just off of Guvercinlik’s coast is the island of Salih which is claimed by local people to be the location of the ancient city of Karyanda, although ruins have yet to be found there. This resort is often passed over by visitors heading for the brighter lights of Bodrum which is unfortunate as its unique location showcases Turkey in the best possible way.

Hotels in Guvercinlik

Most of the hotels are on the outskirts of the village and recently more new and modern hotels have been built and are in a good location for accessing neighbouring resorts.

Guvercinlik Nightlife

For nightlife and eating out, there are local fish farms that supply the restaurants who in turn offer customers freshly caught fish along with traditional food, pizzas, pastas and salads. The nightlife is more relaxed and laid back here offering a calm soothing atmosphere. For visitors wanting the more hectic and larger clubs and bars they head into nearby Bodrum.

Getting to Guvercinlik

It is located northeast of Bodrum and the local bus from there takes 20 minutes; it is 30 minutes from Bodrum Airport which is accessed via the Milas Bodrum highway and then onto the D330 from where the village is well signposted.
