Yalikavak is 20km from Bodrum and located at the north eastern tip of the peninsula and as you approach the bay you get stunning panoramic views giving glimpses of the sea along this windmill studded ridge.B&B’s available and the dolmus minibuses run regularly between here and Bodrum. A latest addition to the area is Palmarina, a beautiful modern, marble and glass strip mall in the shape of a castle where concerts and exhibitions are held along with the Palmarina Cup Races. Palmarina attracts an upmarket crowd to its world famous venues such as the Billionaire Beach & Club, the Cipriani Restaurant and the Palmarina Boutique Hotel.
Things to do in YalikavakThe region is ideal for sailing and water sports and still supports a thriving fishing industry. The small downtown area, with lots of shops, bars and restaurants leads on to a busy picturesque harbour offering a wide selection of fresh fish every day and is known for its excellent sea food restaurants. The main beach in Yalikavak is long and narrow and has a few nearby restaurants. There are some disco bars playing loud music but generally the town remains very laid back. Also known for its artists there are lots of small shops full of paintings, jewellery, other artwork and handicrafts.
