Ilica Beach

Due to the hot springs in and around Cesme the water here is always warmer than elsewhere. The long white sandy beach and beautiful turquoise water make it extremely popular especially July and August and it’s great for families with children. For further information click here

Cesme Fort & Archaeology Museum

The fort was built in 1508 and opened as a museum in 1965 to house artefacts from the ancient site of Erythrai (Ildiri) that include sculptures, baked earthenware, busts, marble items, coins, frames and amphora. For further information click here


Famed for its authentic stone houses, crystal clear waters, beautiful beaches and renowned international wind and kite surfing centre, it is also full of first class restaurants, cafes and bespoke boutiques and is particularly popular with the rich and famous of Turkey.  For further information click here

Aqua Toy City

A great place for kids and adults alike, it has slides, huge water inflatable’s, a lazy river, water cannons and fountains, along with sun-loungers and umbrellas. Erythrai Ancient City

Dating from the 7th century BC this was one of the 12 Ion cities.  Climb the steep amphitheatre steps up to the Acropolis where you will find the remains of a Greek Church and Temple of Athena along with fantastic views of the bays and islands below. For further information click here

Cesme & Ilica Boat Trips

There are different types of boats offering day trips that range from traditional gulets (wooden yachts) to more modern type ‘party’ boats, they depart from Cesme Town every morning at 10am and return 5pm. They all sail off to different islands and bays where you can swim and snorkel, and the cruise price also includes lunch.

Orthodox Church of Ayios Haralambos

Although no longer a church this huge and grand building recently underwent complete renovation and now hosts art and handicraft exhibitions during the summer season.

Sifne Hot Thermal Springs

Sifne’s thermal springs and healing centre is a great place to come to relax and recuperate in one of the 45˚C swimming pools, they have plenty of sun-loungers and you can even have a massage. Visit Chios Island

Several ferry companies in Cesme Port offer daily return services to the Greek Island of Chios that is famed for its Mastic production.  There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants here or you hire a car or scooter to tour around and visit their famous medieval village of Pyrgi.

Altinkum Beach

This golden sand beach is 1km long, hosts several different Beach Clubs and is popular for the very refreshing ice cold seawater found here especially during the very hot summer months. For further information click here

Cesme Marina

The marina was completely rebuilt in recent years, and is now “uber chic” housing many top class restaurants, cafes, bars and designer boutiques. There is an amusement arcade for the youngsters and even a Burger King for the fast food junkies.  Some of the eateries have live musicians and you can just stroll around admiring the extremely expensive yachts that now drop anchor here.
