Oludeniz - The Blue Lagoon
10km south of Fethiye, it’s one of the most photographed beaches on the Mediterranean. The lagoon is a national nature reserve and although set in a secluded sandy bay, the beach is actually pebbly. Ölüdeniz, famous for its turquoise and aquamarine colours, is an official Blue Flag beach and frequently rated among the top five beaches in the world.
ParaglidingDue to its outstanding panoramic views it’s also one of the best places in the world to paraglide.
BeachesDuring summer weekends both Belcekiz beach, which is mostly popular with foreigners, and the inlet beach mostly used by Turks, becomes jam- packed and at these times its recommended to use the quieter Kıdrak beach, east of Belcekiz, less commercialised and much cleaner.
Villages NearbySlightly inland, south of Kidrak are the headlands of the Yediburun (Seven Capes) and a number of isolated villages.
