Tlos Yakapark and Saklikent

Tlos

27km from the Fethiye - Antalya road make a turn to the town of Kemer and a further 13km from there is the ancient city of Tlos . The acropolis is at the top of the hill and was converted into a castle during Ottoman times. Beneath are remains of a Lycian wall and rock cut tombs and further down there are Roman ruins of a theatre, bath, wrestling school and gymnasium.

Yakapark

Leave Tlos for nearby Yakapark which is a 30 minute drive away, where you will find a beautiful green location full of trees, streams and water gardens and is a wonderful place to picnic, or buy something to eat from one of the many stalls on route here. There are restaurants offering fresh caught trout and you can actually visit one of the trout farms while here.

Saklikent

Saklikent is 8km from Tlos and this famous canyon is an amazing 18km long and 300m wide, which makes it one of the deepest in the world.
You can walk inside on a wooden bridge and follow the flowing waters for 100’s of metres and at the mouth of the stream the waters crash loudly over the rocks.  It is also possible to walk in the waters of the streams and to climb up the limestone rocks. There is a restaurant here too offering daily fresh caught fish.
