Amcazade Huseyin Pasa Mosque Istanbul
The Dülgerzade Mosque is nearby on Fevzi Çakmak Road although it is not particularly interesting. Also nearby, on Horhor Road, and set within a small park, are the remains of the huge Church of Hagios Polyeuktos that was built for Anikla Juliana, the daughter of Emperor Anikius Olybrius who reigned from 430 to 472. Parts of columns and capitals can be found strewn around and are believed to have come from the church.
Close by are some fine examples of First National Architecture that have been recently restored and were built for the Fatih Municipality (Belediye) and the Fire Brigade (Itfaiye) and were both designed in 1914 by Kostantinos Kiriakidis. In front of these is the Air Force Martyrs Monument designed in 1916 by architect Vedat Tek.
