Bulgar Palas or Palace Istanbul

Bulgar Palas or Palace Istanbul
Bulgar Palas or Palace is on Haseki Kadın Street, off of Cerrahpasa Road, and is a fine example of First National Architecture that dates back to 1912 and was partly designed by Giulio Mongeri an Italian architect.  Mehmed Habib Bey, an MP from Bolu, commissioned the construction of the palace; his wealth came from cracked wheat, hence the palace’s name.  The palace tower has fabulous views of the Sea of Marmara and at one time it was the property of the Ottoman Bank who stored the bank archives there; these have since been moved to the Ottoman Bank Museum.
