Church of Hagios Nikolaos Istanbul
Church of Hagios Nikolaos stands on the main shore road and was built in 1837 in the courtyard of a Byzantine church that had been dedicated to Hagios Nikolaos, who is the patron saint of mariners.  In its narthex there is a model of a ship that was placed by sailors in gratitude for returning home safely from a voyage.  You will find the same thing is inside the Church of the Panagia in Karakoy

This church was a dependency of the Vatopedi Monastery on Mt. Athos in Greece.  There is a sacred spring in the grounds here that has an inscription on the outside wall that reads the spring is dedicated to St. Charalambos.
