Cemil Topuzlu MansionOn the street of Operator Cemil Topuzlu Road you will find the very grand Cemil Topuzlu Mansion (Köşkü). This building was designed by Alexandre Vallaury in 1900 in a mix of classical Turkish and Art Nouveau designs and was built for the mayor of Istanbul ; it actually stood on the seashore until the road was widened in the 1980s.
Buyuk KulupClose to here is the impressive building that is home to the Buyuk Kulup (Big Club) which is the successor to the famous Cercle d’Orient on Istiklal Road founded in 1882 by Sir Alfred Harrison, the then British Ambassador. Unfortunately it is a member’s only club.
