Shopping in Cukurcuma

There are many small local shops within the narrow streets here that are worth checking out and a refreshing change from the modern shops on nearby  Istiklal Road.

Shopping for Antiques

If you are interested in antiques Cukurcuma is one of the best places to find them in  Istanbul , particularly on Cukurcuma Road and off its side streets.
Although there are not many bargains to be found here you will see interesting new pieces that have been created from older ones.  It is well worth your time in checking out the following shops; Anadol Antique House, Anadolu Mezat, Antik 18, Eski Fener, Gelgor Antik, Hikmet & Pinar.
There is also a shop called Leyla that specialises in beautiful old costumes and fabrics that come from all over the country.
