Cerle d’Orient Social Club

This was built for an Armenian business man, Abraham Pasa in 1884, and it was once home to the Cerle d’Orient, which was a social club where foreigners and Turks would get together, and had an equivalent club on the Asian side of Istanbul inside the Büyük Kulup (Big Club).

Greek Consulate

Further along the road is the Greek Consulate housed in a mansion that was built for the Greek Sismanoğlu family.

Halep Passage

The Halep Pasaji or Passage (Cite d’Alep-Allepo Arcade) is built in 1885 for a Syrian Christian and was once used as a circus.

Atlas Passage

The grand Atlas Pasaji or Passage is just across the road and designed in 1870 for an Armenian banker named Koceoglu, and is also where Sultan Abdulaziz had a bachelor pad for entertaining women.
