Emirgan Square Istanbul

There are few squares along the Bosphorus that are as appealing as Emirgan with its ancient plane trees and very pretty teahouses sitting adjacent to a beautiful mosque that has an elegantly restored octagonal fountain which was commissioned by Sultan Abdulhamid I’s wife and dates to 1783. It is a lovely place to stop for refreshments on-route to the Sakip Sabanci Museum which is a little further up the road.
