Yachting in Istanbul and around

Yachting in Istanbul and around

Sailing in Istanbul

The natural beautiful landscape around Istanbul, the open seas and fantastic sunsets the area has to offer makes it very popular for yachting. Sail through Byzantine and Ottoman history; pass spectacular castles, palaces and mosques; navigate the Bosphorus and the two huge bridges that span Europe and Asia; meander along the Golden Horn and cruise to coves and bays of the Princes’ Islands.

Istanbul Yacht Marinas

There are two large marinas in the area; Atakoy marina on the European side, Kalamis Fenerbahce marina on the Asian side and both offer a 24 hour service. It is possible to sail from the European interior channel system, the Rhine and Danube Rivers into the Black Sea harbours and the Istanbul Strait and Marinas which is a short and safe way to reach the Turkish coasts.
