Buca Golet Izmir

Buca Golet Izmir
Buca Golet translates to “Pond of Buca” and is an artificial lake and a recreation centre that was developed around the lake in 1999.  Buca Golet covers at total area of 167,000 square metres or 1,800,000 square feet and is 15km from Izmir’s city centre.

Visitors to Buca Golet will find facilities that include an amphitheatre, a children’s play area along with farm animals contained in a paddock, there are fish and fast food restaurants, Tea and coffee houses, picnic and BBQ areas, observation terraces, a go-kart track and is also a popular venue for wedding ceremonies and parties.

Boca Golet is very popular in the summer months when residents of Izmir come to escape the heat and noise of the city and as a consequence it can become very crowded at weekends.
