Kemalpasa Odemis - East side of Izmir

Kemalpasa Odemis - East side of Izmir

Kemalpasa, which is 29 km east of Izmir, dates back to B.C 1300. Kemalpasa, whose ancient name was Nymph ion, was founded in the slopes of Nif Mountain. Kemalpasa is known for its world-famous cherry and pine forests. Kiz Kulesi is an important structure which was built during the Byzantine Empire. You can visit Alas Kimiz Farm to taste Turkish meals and for horse riding.

It is situated 13 km east of Izmir. The ancient ruins give us the clue that its history dates back to early periods.
The area has ruins from the Seljuks and the Ottoman Empire. Cakiraga Konagi, Imam-i Birgivi Medresesi and Sultan Sah Turbesi are worth visiting. Bozdag Golcuk , which is part of Odemis, is popular with paragliding and mountain sports.
