Bayir Village Marmaris
Bayir is actually built on the ancient city of Syrna and where the mosque stands today is believed to have been a temple dedicated to Asklepios who was the god of health.Bayir can be found on the southwest of Marmaris and the village here is a very popular stop for the jeep safari tours where you can sit under huge plane trees drinking refreshments and we recommend that you sample the local food and drinks whilst you are here. Also take a drink of water from the fountain that is in the centre of the village and it is only a 10 minute walk downhill from here to get to the beach.
