Bozburun Village Marmaris
YachtingThis cape is 45km from the southwest centre of Marmaris and is mainly popular with yachts that come to moor in the quiet calm waters and although there are not many facilities here, the few that are here offer excellent quality.
ProduceBozburun village sits in a stunning setting and also famous for its pine, flower and thyme honey.
1000 Year Old TreeThere are no real beaches here although you can swim from the rocks and it’s the home to a very famous and revered 1,000 year old tree, one of the oldest in Turkey. Bozburun gulet Festival that runs from 26th to 28th October.
It is better known for the boat building workshops that make Gulet’s and it has many other suitable calm coves for mooring.
Compared to other areas Bozburun is very quiet, fairly barren, has a few hotels, pansiyon’s (bed & breakfast) and fish restaurants.
Nearby are the ruins of the ancient city of Larymna.
Things to do in BozburunStay at one of the few hotels or pansiyon’s and hike to the nearby ancient city of Larymna on Asar Hill which takes around 45 minutes. The ruins and tombstones are spread out all over the area and you get great views over Bozburun.
There are daily boat trips to other coves available.
How to get to Bozburun45km from the centre of Marmaris using the Marmaris - Datca Road and you can take the dolmuş minibus to Hisaronu.
As it’s quite close to Marmaris you can easily reach here for a day trip using one of the town’s bus services.
