Edremit

Edremit
Edremit is located in a district of Balikesir Province on the west coast of Turkey close to the Greek island of Lesbos. It sits at the tip of the Gulf of Edremit and the city centre is just a few kilometres further inland.
Edremit’s economy is dependent on the production of olives, as well as tourism, and it’s actually famous for being Turkey’s olive growing capital. The important tourist attractions of Kazdagi National Park and ancient Mount Ida are close by which are very popular as this area is filled with beautiful natural forest and has several pretty picturesque small villages dotted around.
Edremit is also close to other popular coastal towns such as Ayvalik , Gomec, Burhaniye and Havran.
