In the villages of Candir and Sultaniye opposite the Dalyan channel there are many natural springs bubbling up from underground and this thermal sulphurous water has health properties that can treat rheumatism, skin diseases and many other ailments.

Just 15 minutes from the centre of Dalyan there are mud baths and spas that can only be accessed by boat and consequently the day boat tours have turned this location into a very popular tourist destination; hordes of people come to cover themselves in the therapeutic mud and bathe in the thermal spa water.  

Watching Nile Turtle and Caretta Carettas

Whilst in the channel visitors can see the Nile turtle (Trionyx Tringulus) and their cousin the Caretta Caretta (Loggerhead turtle) that live close to the lake, and also the rare storax tree (liquid amber orientalis) which only grows in a few other places around the world.
