Leaving Yachts in Turkish Marinas

Leaving Yachts in Turkish Marinas
Foreigners are permitted to leave their yachts in a Turkish licensed yacht harbour or docking area if the reason is for storage, maintenance or repair for a period of up to two years and then the vessel has to leave Turkey. Application to the regional customs office is made with a document obtained from the yacht harbour or docking area and the request will be recorded in the owner or captain’s passport.

Owners may leave the yacht for up to five years provided they sail from the harbour at least once every two years and at the end of five years the Ministry of Tourism can extend the length of stay.
