Semolina Helva with Ice Cream
150gr Semolina Flour
2 tablespoons of unsalted Butter
168gr of Sugar
2 tablespoons of Pine Nuts
480ml of Water
To garnish: Vanilla Ice Cream, chopped Pistachio Nuts and Cinnamon Powder
How to prepare
Add the butter to a pan and on a medium low heat lightly fry the semolina and pine nuts stir constantly until golden brown.
Stir in the sugar and add the water to the pan stirring with a wooden spoon.
Stir occasionally until the mixture reaches the right consistency.
Turn the heat off, cover with a lid and let it stand for 1 minute.
Place on a serving dish make a well in the centre and spoon in some ice cream.
Sprinkle on the pistachio and cinnamon and serve immediately while still warm.
