Sponge or Yogurt Dessert with Syrup
1 glass of flour
1/2 glass of semolina
5 glasses of sugar
1 glass of yogurt
4 glasses of water
1/2 dessert spoon of lemon juice
Pack of baking powder
Pack of powdered vanilla
How to prepare
Whisk the 3 eggs and one glass of sugar until it gets a creamy texture.
Add one glass of yogurt and continue whisking.
Add a glass of flour, baking powder and vanilla.
Add the semolina and mix it well.
Spread butter in a pyrex or an oven safe dish and pour the mixture in it.
Oven cook at 180 degrees until the top section turns brown.
When the sponge cake cools, cut it into four pieces to soak the syrup better.
For the syrup:
In a pan, put 4 glasses of sugar, 4 glasses of water and the lemon juice and boil for 15 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Let this cool for 2-3 minutes then pour it over the sponge cake.
Decorate it with coconut.
