Sweet Butternut Squash
500gr Butternut Squash
112gr of Sugar
1-2 tablespoons of Water
To garnish: chopped Pistachio Nuts or Walnuts
How to prepare
This recipe makes 2-3 servings.
Cut the squash into large bite size pieces.
Add the squash, sugar and water and cook on a medium low heat uncovered for approx. 25-30 minutes until tender.
(They are ready when most of the water has evaporated and they look darker and shiny).
Place on serving dish and allow them to cool.
Sprinkle on the pistachios or walnuts and serve.
The Turkish name for this dish is Kabak Tatlisi
