750 gr tel kadayif 
350 gr butter
2 glasses of walnuts or pistachio nuts
3 1/2 glasses of water
4 1/2 glasses of sugar
1/2 lemon juice

How to prepare

Spread half of the tel kadayif (dough in threads that you can purchase from Turkish shops) in a 25 cm diameter pyrex or cake pan.
Spread the nuts over this and the remaining tel kadayif over the top.
Melt the butter and pour it on top.
Bake for 40 minutes in the oven in medium heat until the top becomes golden brown colour.
In a pan, boil water, sugar and lemon juice and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Pour the boiling syrup over the kadayif. Let it cool for an hour before serving.
