Turkish Ricotta Fritters
40gr of plain Flour
475gr of unsalted Ricotta Cheese
For the syrup:
338gr of Sugar
420ml of Water
1 tablespoon of Lemon Juice
How to prepare
This recipe makes 20 fritters.
Preheat the oven to165˚C.
In a bowl use a tablespoon to mix together the cheese and flour.
Form chestnut sized balls with your hands and place on an oven tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 50-55 minutes until the tops turn a golden colour.
For the syrup put the water and sugar in a pan, bring up to a boil and boil for 5 minutes.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes then turn off the heat and stir in the lemon juice.
Pour the warm syrup immediately over the balls and allow them to cool down.
Serve this dessert with cream.
