Fish Patties

Ingredients

Kofte Ingredients:
200gr Sole or any White Fish of your choice
1 grated Carrot
1 sliced Onion
3 tablespoons of Bread Crumbs
Zest of 1 Lemon
2 tablespoons of chopped Parsley
2 tablespoons of soaked Currants
2 tablespoons of Pine Nuts
1 Egg
½ tablespoon of Paprika
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Pepper
Also:
1 Egg beaten
60gr fresh Breadcrumbs
120ml Sunflower Oil

How to prepare

The recipe makes approx. 7-8 Fish Patties.
Place the fish, onion and carrot in a pan cover with the water and cook for 10 minutes, drain well.
Mix all the Kofte ingredients in a bowl with a spoon and place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to cool.
Once they are cool shape into 7-8 patties.
Dip them in the beaten egg and roll in the breadcrumbs.
Heat the oil in a pan to a medium heat and fry the patties on both sides until a golden colour.
Place on paper towels to remove any excess oil.
While still warm arrange on a plate and serve with lemon wedges.
The Turkish name for this dish is Balik Koftesi
