750gr lean minced Beef
100gr of Rice
2 large chopped Onions
1½ tablespoons of Butter
4 Eggs
2 teaspoons of Salt
½ teaspoon of Pepper
250ml of Water
250ml of Oil

How to prepare

This recipe makes 6 servings.
Heat the butter in a pan and lightly brown the onion.
Add the rice, some salt and the water.
Cover, cook on a medium heat until the water has been fully absorbed and leave to cool.
Place half of the meat in a pan and sauté on a high heat until the juice has evaporated.
Add the remaining meat to the pan and mix in well.
Add the rice, 2 eggs, salt and pepper and knead the mixture together for 5 minutes.
Use your palms to make egg size balls and then press down to make a flat oval shape.
Beat the remaining eggs together in a bow
Heat the oil in a pan to a medium heat.
Dip each oval shape into the egg and fry on both sides until golden brown.
Serve immediately while hot.
The Turkish name for this recipe is Kadınbudu Köfte.
