1kg of Mutton diced into bite size pieces
3 medium Onions cut into 8 pieces
2 medium Potatoes diced large
2 Carrots sliced thickly
50g Green Peas
1 tablespoon of Oregano
3 tablespoons of Butter
2 teaspoons of Salt
½ teaspoon of Pepper
300ml warm Water
How to prepare
This recipe makes 4 servings.
Melt the butter in a pan add the onion and meat.
Cook on a medium heat until the juice evaporates.
Add salt and 300ml of water, cover and cook for 1½ hours on a low heat.
Add the potatoes and carrots and replace the lid.
Cook on low for a further 25 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Sprinkle on the oregano and serve.
