750gr very finely minced Beef or Lamb
2 thick slices dry Bread crusts removed
1 large grated Onion
1 bunch finely chopped Parsley
1 beaten Egg
3 teaspoons of Salt
½ teaspoon of Cumin
1 teaspoon of Köfte Spice
250ml of Oil
How to prepare
This recipe makes 6 servings.
Soak the bread in water then squeeze out any excess water using your hands, then crumble into a bowl.
Add the meat, onion, parsley, egg, cumin, köfte spice, salt and pepper.
Knead the mix well for 10 minutes.
Make an egg size ball of the mixture and shape them into fingers using your hands.
Heat the oil to a medium heat and fry the fingers until cooked.
Serve hot with fried potatoes.
The Turkish name for this recipe is Kuru Köfte.
