Minced Beef & Bread Kebab
3-4 tablespoons lean Minced Beef
1 lightly toasted Naan or Pitta Bread cut into bite sized pieces
3-4 slices of Onion
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Pepper
For the yogurt sauce:
4-5 tablespoons room temperature Yogurt
1 clove of Garlic crushed with salt
For the red sauce:
1 tablespoon tinned chopped Tomato
½ teaspoon Hot Red Pepper Paste
1 tablespoon of Butter
How to prepare
Lightly fry the onion, beef, salt and pepper until the liquid evaporates stirring constantly.
Place the bread on a serving plate, spoon the beef mixture on top then pour yogurt all over it.
Melt the butter add the tomato and pepper paste and as soon as it bubbles pour over the dish.
The Turkish name for this dish is Ekmek Kebabi
