Minced Beef & Onion Kebab
500gr peeled Shallots
1 tablespoon of Pomegranate Paste (or Lemon Juice) plus 60ml warm Water
For the meatballs:
500gr Minced Beef
½ teaspoon Red Chilli Flakes
Salt and Pepper to taste
How to prepare
Preheat the oven to 230˚C.
In a bowl mix the meatball ingredients together, knead and mix thoroughly.
Form golf ball sized rounds and press them down lightly with your fingers.
In an oven proof non-stick dish place the meatballs in between the onions.
Place the dish on the middle shelf of the oven and cook for 40-45 minutes then remove from the oven.
Mix the pomegranate paste or lemon juice with the warm water and pour over the dish.
Place the dish on the oven top, cover and bring to a boil then simmer for 10-12 minutes.
Turn the heat off and sprinkle the chilli flakes over the meatballs and onions.
