1kg lean Mutton or Beef diced into 2-3cm cubes
1 medium Onion sliced lenghthwise
1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
2 teaspoons of Salt
3 small Tomatoes (optional)
3 Bell Peppers (optional)
1 tablespoon of Oregano (optional)
How to prepare
This recipe makes 6 servings.
Sprinkle the onion with salt and leave to stand for 10 minutes.
Extract the onion juice by rubbing and squeezing with your hands then leave for 1-2 hours.
Place the meat on skewers alternating with tomato and pepper pieces if using.
Leave ½cm space between each piece.
Place on the grill or barbeque and cook each side for 2-3 minutes.
Sprinkle on salt and the oregano if using.
