Turkish Style Pizza with Minced Beef or Lamb
1 pack of 10 flat bread Tortillas
For the filling:
500gr lean Minced Beef or Lamb
2 roughly chopped medium Onions
2 deseeded large Tomatoes
1 tablespoon of Red Pepper Paste
Bunch of Parsley Leaves
1 teaspoon Chilli Flakes
1 clove of Garlic
1 teaspoon of Salt
How to prepare
Add all the filling ingredients, except the beef or lamb, in to a food processor and combine.
Knead in the meat and chill in the fridge for one hour.
After one hour remove from the fridge and leave to stand for 20 minutes.
Have two oven trays ready and turn the oven grill on.
Put some of the mixture on a spatula and spread thinly and evenly over the tortilla
Place two each on an oven tray and put it on the second shelf of the oven.
Cook for 3-4 minutes taking care not to burn the edges of the tortilla.
Place kitchen paper on the bottom of a large pan
Fold the tortillas in half, place in the pan with the lid on to keep warm until they are all ready.
The Turkish name for this dish is Lahmacun
