1 grated medium size Carrot
1 grated medium size Potato
1 grated small size Celery root
2 tablespoons of Pearl Barley
2 tablespoons of rinsed Red Lentils
2 tablespoons of Lemon Juice
720ml of Chicken Stock
Pinch of Salt
How to prepare
Add the water, barley, lemon juice and salt to the pan, stir and cook on a medium heat.
Next add the carrot, potato, celery and lentils, turn to a simmer and cook until softened (approx. 20-25 minutes).
If the soup is too thick add hot water.
This soup should be served hot.
The Turkish name for this soup is Sebze Corbasi.
