Ingredients

175gr unsalted Butter (room temperature)
2 Eggs (room temperature)
300ml of Milk (room temperature)
280gr of Sugar
187.5gr plain Flour
1 teaspoon of Baking Powder
100gr chopped Hazelnuts (optional)
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
White Chocolate Chips 
Pinch of Salt
1 greased Loaf cake tin

How to prepare

Preheat the oven to 190˚C.
Cream the butter and sugar either by hand with a wooden spoon or use a food processor.
Add the eggs one at a time and blend.
Add the milk and vanilla extract and beat well.
Add the flour, baking powder and salt and blend until the batter is creamy.
Add the hazelnuts if using.
Pour half of the mixture into the loaf tin.
Add the cocoa powder to the remaining mixture and stir, then add the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the loaf tin
Using a fork stir the mixture very slowly from one end to the other in the shape of a wave 5 to 6 times (this forms the pattern in the cake).
If desired add 10 or so white chocolate chips on the top.
Place the loaf tin on the centre shelf of the oven.
Bake for approx. 35 minutes or until a toothpick can be taken out clean
Let it stand for15 minutes then place on a wire rack to cool it down.
The Turkish name for this dish is Kakaolu Kek
