Ingredients

125gr unsalted Butter (room temperature)
112.5gr of Sugar
2 small Eggs (room temperature)
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
300gr of plain Flour
1 teaspoon of Baking Powder
To Glaze:
Yolk of 1 Egg and a teaspoon water whisked together
Sesame Seeds

How to prepare

Pre-heat the oven to 180˚C.
Cream the sugar and vanilla with butter then add the eggs and mix.
Slowly add the flour and baking powder and mix well until you have a soft dough.
Divide the dough in 16-18 pieces and shape with your hands into long sticks.
Place them on an oven tray lined with parchment paper.
Brush the tops with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for approx. 25 minutes or until the tops turn a golden colour.
Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool down.
This recipe makes approx. 16-18 Kurabiye.
