Turkish Almond Cookies
100gr of ground Almonds
2 tablespoon of crumbled Digestive Biscuits
425gr of Icing Sugar
3 lightly whisked Egg Whites
8 Almond halves
How to prepare
This recipe makes approx. 8 Almond Cookies.
Pre-heat the oven to 175˚C.
Place all the ingredients in the pan stirring constantly to a warm temperature (ensure it does not boil).
Pour the mixture into a dish and allow it to cool.
Meanwhile oil eight 5cm paper cake cups and spoon in the mixture equally.
Add the almonds to the tops and place the cups on a baking tray.
Reduce the oven temperature to 120˚C and bake for 45 minutes (do not open the oven door or the cookies will sink).
Allow them to cool before serving.
