Envelope Shaped Cheese Pastries
640gr of Flour
1 pack or 10gr of Yeast
250ml of Milk
190ml of Sunflower Oil
100gr grated Feta or Cheddar Cheese
½ tablespoon of chopped Parsley
Black Cumin Seeds
How to prepare
Preheat the oven to 200˚C.
In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sunflower oil, milk, one egg and a pinch of salt.
Knead to a dough using your hands.
Cover the bowl with a cloth and set aside for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl mix the parsley with the feta or cheddar cheese.
Take a walnut size of the dough, roll it out and cut the corners to form a square shape.
Put a spoon of the cheese and parsley mix in the centre of the pastry folding the corners to form an envelope.
Put the pastries on an oven tray either oiled or lined with parchment paper
Brush them with egg yolk and sprinkle on the sesame and cumin seeds.
Place in the oven and back until they become a light brown colour.
These are delicious served in the afternoon with tea.
