The park is 78km from Ankara in Kizilcahamam and here you will find many different species of wild animals, birds, trees, flora and fauna. It is a wonderful place for nature walks, treks and mountaineering and has accommodation and restaurants. The area is also famous for its thermal springs.
The facilities here include a hotel, guest-house, administrative building, a café, a spring water production area, buffet, museum and an open-air theatre. Camping and caravans are also welcome here.

Location of Soguksu National Park

You can reach the park via the Ankara - Istanbul highway and it is 2km from Kizilcahamam. The area lies between the dense forests of northern Anatolia and the Central Anatolian Steppes and has a geomorphologic structure that consists of plains in between small valleys and streams which open up into two main valleys.

Geological Structure

The geological structure is mainly made up of basalt and tuff, the ecosystem of the forests contain black pine, scotch pine, oaks and poplars that all keep the area natural and is full of sub-flora species. Wild boar, bears, wolves, foxes, deer, martins and vultures are some of the wild animals that inhabit the area along with many species of birds. Outside of the park there are farms managed by the park directorate that produce different species of partridge and pheasant, along with falcons and quails.
